Welcome to KJ Golf Academy. We are a team of professionals and golf enthusiasts dedicated to helping your golf and growing the game for all. We provide private tuition, academy group sessions, custom fitting, club repairs and retail services for all ages and abilities. We also provide fantastic social events, trips and opportunities.
KJ Golf Academy started in 2014 when Kegan Jamieson turned Professional. While undergoing the PGA degree Kegan worked as the Assistant Professional at Priors Hall GC in Corby.
To build up his teaching experience and profile he decided to start up junior and ladies group coaching classes. The first junior session started with 4 juniors. By the first summer it had grown to 50 – KJ Golf Academy was born and it hasn’t looked back. We have continued to grow every year since.
Kegan’s exposure to the large number of students attending the academies and ceaseless desire to enhance his knowledge enabled both the academies and private client practice to thrive and grow. Once Kegan completed his degree he was offered a job at Blackthorn Wood Golf Club to take over the shop and coaching bay. His time there was short as 6 months later the Head Pro vacancy became available at Market Harborough Golf Club and Kegan became the youngest Head Professional in the UK at the time.
Fast forward to today and KJ Golf Academy is thriving in partnership with Market Harborough Golf Club. The teaching side of the practice has grown into a team which includes 2 other PGA Professionals running academy sessions, private tuition and custom fitting. Additionally our knowledge and expertise in golf operations management delivers efficient front of house operations at the the club on a daily basis and has facilitated a 100% increase in the number of members over the past 5 years.
In order to develop the business further, Kegan invited close friend Stephen Ludlam to join the business to broaden our commercial business expertise and particularly to expand retail operations – Stephen is now a Director of the business and has already added great expertise and value. Stephen and Kegan share the same vision of “Growing the game, step by step” and are creating truly exceptional golfing experiences in all areas of golf from fantastic coaching, to first class customer service and retail expertise.
Stephen works mainly on KJ Golf Shop whilst Kegan continues to grow the Academy.
